How many Paline products are there?
We have two categories of Paline products – our organic fermented tea and a selection of fried nuts, seeds and beans.
How many Paline fermented tea products are there?
We have two types – organic fermented tea leaves and organic fermented tea paste.
Where can I buy Paline products?
You’ll find our tea at Ocean Super Centers and City Marts all over Myanmar, or you can order online for delivery to your door. To place an order, please get in touch and provide a telephone number.
How much do Paline products cost?
All our organic fermented tea leaves, beans, nuts and seeds start at 5000MMK.
Why is Paline more expensive than other brands?
Paline is a premium brand of tea, which means we select only the very best tea leaves and support our farmers with extensive training in organic growing. By its nature, organic tea is also more expensive to produce, and is tested at every stage, from farm to fork. We’re also certified by international organisations including Organic EU and USDA.
Can I order locally?
To place an order, simply contact us with your telephone number or call 09970700111 and we’ll deliver to your door (Yangon and Mandalay city area). If you live outside these areas, we can delivery to the nearest coach station.
How do I make a payment?
To pay for an order, you can use KBZ mobile banking.
What are the assorted fried nuts, seeds and beans?
Our 170g pack includes almond seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, chickpeas, walnuts, cashews nuts and sliced fried garlic. It costs 5,000 kyats per pack.
Do fermented tea leaves have a sour and spicy taste?
We have a variety of options available, some with the sour and spicy taste, and others with natural flavours of tea.
How much are the sesame tea leaves?
Our 200g sesame tea leaves/paste cost 5000 kyats per bottle.
How long does Paline fermented tea last?
Unopened, the bottle is airtight and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three months. Once opened, it can be stored at room temperature for around one month.
Do you have organic certifications?
Our organic tea is systematically tested from the time of cultivation to the time of production. We’re certified by internationally recognised organisations, including Organic EU and USDA.
Shan Shwe Taung
What are the Shan Shwe Taung products?
Our Shan Shwe Taung products include Shu-Shae sour & spicy fermented tea, Gin-Mwe ginger fermented tea, Pindaya fermented tea, assorted fried mix, special assorted fried mix and Shwe-Ou Kyaw.
Do you have any non-spicy alternatives?
If you prefer a gentler flavour, our Gin-Mwe ginger and Zayan fermented teas are delicious alternatives.
Is Shu-Shae healthy?
Our products contain natural ingredients and are certified by the FDA and HACCP.
Is it true that Shu-Shae is made with tamarind leaf?
It’s true! Shu-Shae contains the following ingredients: Tea Leaf, Carambola (Starfruit), Tamarind Leaf, Chilli, Garlic, Vegetable Oil, Seasoning Powder (MSG), Salt and Sodium Benzoate (E211)
Is Gin-Mwe ginger fermented tea spicy?
No, our Gin-Mwe has a subtler flavour of natural ginger and fermented tea leaf.
Is there a fermented tea for adults?
Zayan and Pindaya fermented teas are suitable for adults.
Where can I buy Shan Shwe Taung products?
You’ll find our products in City Marts, Ocean Shops and grocery stores across Myanmar. We also have two stores in Mandalay, Myanmar.
How long do Shan Shwe Taung products last?
The expiry dates are printed on the packs. They can keep for up to six months.
There are some fake Shan Shwe Taung products on the market. How do I know which is real?
Look out for our Shan Shwe Taung logo and you’ll know you’re buying the real thing.
What is in the Shan Shwe Taung assorted fried mix?
Our Shan Shwe Taung assorted fried mix contains: Flat beans, butter beans, green beans, Bengal gram peas, cashew nuts, garlic, sesame seeds, peanuts, salt and sunflower oil.
Why does some fermented tea have a darker colour?
Fermented tea can darken in colour if it’s left in direct sunlight.
