In 2016, Burma Superstar supported a local school in Bagan by helping to renovate a wooden building and donating Myanmar Tea Leaf products and salaries to the teachers.

The school is a government monastic school, which enrols 125 orphan and refugee children from age five, mostly from Palaung, Shan, Pa-O and Kayan ethnic groups from northern and southern Shan State. Monks U Khemeinda and Seddhama Jotikadhaja take full responsibility for their care and education.

During Covid there have been many problems with school closures and lack of tourists, coupled with political instability. This has meant almost no donors for the school. To help, Burma Superstar and Myanmar donate essential food items, such as rice, oil and salt.
